Geoff Paul
Vice-Chairman
Moulton Parish Council
Following service in the RoyalNavy I became an accountant, and worked for a number of companies, both large and small, until my retirement in 2012.
I moved into Moulton in 1996 and have lived on Boughton Road ever since. My interest in Community matters led to co-option to the Parish Council on three occasions – 2004, 2014, and 2018. I am now Vice Chairman of the Council, as well as Chairman of the Finance Committee, which I was instrumental in forming.
My desire to do my best for the area in which I live has been borne out by some of my other past and present activities: I was a member of the Northants Special Constabulary from 1973 to 2003, rising to be Chief Commandant for the final 8 years of my service.
Following retirement from the Special Constabulary, I became a Magistrate, and served until age forced me to retire in 2017.
Away from more serious matters, I was an Association Football Referee from 1968-1998,
On retirement from active refereeing, I became an FA qualified Assessor, and now regularly watch and advise aspiring referees.
It gives me great pride to sit as an Independent member on Northants Football Association disciplinary committee, and also the National anti-Discrimination Panel
Just to be sure I am not idle in my retirement, I have been a Volunteer Lock Keeper with Canal and River Trust since 2013 – helping boaters, meeting people, and getting some much-needed exercise.
